Concrete Reconstruction
It is crucial to fix any significant cracks, chips, or spalls in the concrete before applying the Epoxy. We use a concrete patching product to fill in minor cracks and chips. We let the product cure completely before moving on to the next step.
Surface Preparation
For optimal results, Epoxy performs exceptionally well on a level and clean surface. We start by scrubbing and washing the floor using a specialized solution that effectively eliminates oil and grease.
Apply Basecoat
We mix the two-part epoxy thoroughly until fully combined. Next, we apply the mixture evenly over the concrete surface, ensuring complete coverage. Please note that the time required for this step may vary based on the temperature.
Spread Flake
Once the epoxy is applied, we start spreading the flake generously and evenly while it is still fresh. To help with even application, we take a handful of flake and toss it up and out instead of straight down.
Final Prep
We inspect the flake coverage from various angles to ensure that it is even. If required, we apply additional flake to achieve the desired result. Then, we remove any excess flake by scraping it off and collecting it for future use.
Apply High Gloss Finish
Lastly, we blend and administer Poly 85 top-coat to achieve an attractive and polished final finish.
